Student Services Building

Lets talk about the new Student Services Building. I did some looking into this, and its quite interesting. Back in May 2022, the School Board held a Special Meeting to approve purchasing Real Property at 120 Chisholm Trail Way in Mustang. Its essentially a building facing 152. The building was purchased by the District in July 2022. Here it is:
$1.3 million dollars, and is now home to the Student Services Department. This is primarily the Special Education Department.
I guess my questions are, is the District getting so top heavy that we have already outgrown the MERC building?? Wouldn't that $1.3 million dollars have been better spent on the actual Special Needs children themselves? If space was such an issue, here is an idea, buy some portable buildings and stick them on the North or West side of the MERC building. If they are good enough for the kids, they should be good enough for Admin, right?
The other issue I have with this, is it all seems to be hush hush. The District hasn't really announced it. Are they trying to keep it under wraps?
There is a growing chorus of people who feel the upper leadership in the District needs to go.
